Tom Kranz

Tom is a Philadelphia native whose 40-year career in journalism includes radio, television, print, and online platforms. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Temple University.

Tom's career as an author began in 2007 after leaving broadcasting. He has written eight books, including Liveshot: Journalistic Heroism in Philadelphia, a first-person account of his experience covering the disastrous 1985 MOVE conflict in West Philadelphia. He has written seven novels, including Wreck and Return: An EMT's Journey Into and Out of Darkness, a fictionalized account of his dual life as a news producer and volunteer EMT, the 3-book sci-fi Earth-Moon Series, and the 3-book contemporary fiction Bud & Maggie series.

Tom resides in New Jersey, where he writes, hosts a podcast, and does freelance communications work.
